Quick pivot.
On September 11, 2001, how long did it take for Donald Rumsfeld to think that he could use the terrorist attacks to go after Saddam Hussein, even if Iraq wasn't involved? About five or six hours.

I think it's pretty incredible, given that the guy was in the Pentagon when it was hit by the plane. You figure that had to distract him for at least an hour or two, but by three o'clock he's giving the orders to his generals.
