Censorship in the age of e-mail.

The Washington Post describes an episode in China's ongoing efforts to come to terms with information technology: An editor at China Youth Daily used e-mail to publicize his opposition to a plan to reward and punish journalists for pleasing and annoying government officials, causing the plan to be abandoned, but also costing him his job.
