Pynchon Appreciation Dept.
M. and T. call my attention to Gerald Howard's appreciation of Gravity's Rainbow, in the lastest issue of BookForum. Not knowing it would appear on-line, I canvassed area bookstores two weeks ago until I found one with a scarce copy of the print edition. Reminds me that I need to read GR again....

I wasted ten minutes Googling Delillo's statement that "Hemingway died one day and Pynchon was born the next" because I thought that would be a really cool piece of trivia if true. Either I am a moron incapable of appreciating figurative language or Pynchon published V. at the ripe age of two. Survey says?
