Frank Luntz, Master of the Obvious.
Ryan Lizza takes a look at Frank Luntz's new advice for the GOP, and is underwhelmed.
One of Luntz's most serious pieces of advice for Republicans--I am not making this up--is to use the American flag, the bald eagle, and the Statue of Liberty in campaign commercials. He insists upon this, and dwells on the strategy at length. (Presumably, the days when Republicans foolishly used the hammer and sickle are over.)

You have to admit that it makes sense. These are potent symbols of the freedom that the Commander in Chief, his Administration and Republican Party is working hard to ensure here at home and propagate abroad.

Abandon the faux intellectual elitist crowd you obviously have been deluded into admiring and come over to the "right" way of thinking. The money will follow, not to mention the benefits of the tax cuts.

I tried dropping the faux-intellectual elitist crowd for the intellectual faux-elitist crowd, but I realized I was happier hanging around with the faux intellectuals -- much easier to keep up with their conversations -- than with the faux elitists -- I'm sorry, but they dressed kind of shabby. So I went back. How do I find this "right" way of thinking? I could definitely use the money.
T.S.:
Nice blog. I am short-time reader, first-time commenter. Nice to see redstate patriot here with some alternative views.
In response to your ideological quandry,
"I tried dropping the faux-intellectual elitist crowd for the intellectual faux-elitist crowd, but I realized I was happier hanging around with the faux intellectuals"
It's all morally relative Ty. That's the problem.
How do I find this "right" way of thinking?"
You gotta have faith.
